“Don’t Give up on God”
I grew up in a single-parent household with just my mum and me, as my older siblings had already moved out. My mum hoards, which is an ongoing difficulty throwing away possessions until the house becomes in an uncontrollable state, so that made it a very difficult household to live in. It’s not just something you can clean away because it’s been accumulated over decades; it was also a verbally and sometimes physically abusive household. There would be many times where I’d end up crying in my room and begging God to take me out of this situation. As I got older, university became an option, and I wasn’t the brightest student in school. I struggled a lot with assignments and homework, so my grades were very low. When it came to results day, I thought I didn’t get into any universities because I didn’t receive any emails. It turned out my mobile data wasn’t on, and I had gotten into my first choice. I got to move out of my home city and move. When they say God gives you more than you ask for, it is 100% the truth. Not only was I able to move away from that household, but the relationship I had with my mom mended, and we have become a lot closer since over the past few years being away from home. I was able to find a church and community of people who love Jesus, and I’ve been able to gain independence and heal from my childhood trauma. Every day, a lie from the enemy is defeated! This answered prayer is one I currently live in and didn’t realise I was walking in until recently. God hears you. God sees you and loves you so much. Don’t stop praying and believing the Lord will move in your life. If it can happen for me, it can happen for you, and guess what? You’re probably already living in a prayer that you prayed a few years ago without realising it.
