Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer – Contributor Agreement
The purpose of this document is to explain how answered prayers, which you agree to contribute, are archived by the UK registered Charity, Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer (“Eternal Wall”, “Us”, “Our”). Your submission of a contribution is a clear indication you are agreeing to take part in the sharing of answered prayers, allowing us to store and make use of your personal data now and in the future to administer and archive your contribution.
Your agreement demonstrates you understand the terms under which your contribution will be accessible at Eternal Wall and via other access methods e.g., online searches and public viewing.
Your agreement to submit a contribution
This Agreement is made between the UK registered Charity, Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, Courtyard 4, Coleshill Manor Office Campus, South Drive, Coleshill, B46 1DL (“Eternal Wall”) and the contributor (“You”, “your”):
Eternal Wall and the archive of answered prayers
Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer is a UK registered Charity (1173708) which aims to ignite faith and belief in the power of prayer by building a national landmark and visitor centre in the UK and creating a Global Digital Archive (the Archive) with one million accounts of answered prayers.
The creation of the Archive will enable us to preserve and make publicly accessible the answered prayers contributed by Christians around the globe.
The archive to which you are contributing
You are agreeing to contribute your answered prayers to the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayers digital archive (“the Archive”), which is a permanent, publicly accessible database of Christian answered prayers.
Your personal data
The UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018 provide important rights and controls to the processing of your personal data. For information about how Eternal Wall will use your personal data you can review our Privacy Policy at https://www.eternalwall.org.uk/privacy-policy.
Eternal Wall collects, catalogues, and makes available the archive of answered prayers (and the personal data contained within them) as part of the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, i.e., a public archive of Christian answered prayers accessible globally.
Where sensitive personal data (“special category data”) is found in our archive it is processed for the purpose of archiving in the public interest. Where such data would be likely to cause substantial distress or harm to the data subject if disclosed it will be withheld from public access but may still be retained in our archive(s).
Answered prayers contained in our public archive will be retained in perpetuity, to inform the research of future generations.
Research use of the Eternal Wall archive
If any natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body makes use of any personal data present in our public archive as part of their research then they become a Data Controller in relation to that data, and are responsible for using that data fairly, ethically, and in compliance with relevant data protection legislation. Personal data which is used for research purposes may not be used to make decisions about or take actions in relation to the data subject in question and may not be used in ways which would cause substantial damage or distress to them.
What we will do with your personal data
The personal information submitted in your ‘contribution form’ e.g., name, email address, location will be held securely and not shared with anyone, unless Eternal Wall is obligated or compelled to do so by law.
Any information contained in your answered prayer(s) will be made available (subject to your agreement) through the Archive to researchers, academics and other members of the public who access our public archive. We will keep this data in perpetuity, to preserve the history of Christian faith and inform the research of future generations about answered prayers.
You can request partial or complete restriction to public accessibility to your contribution should you feel that there is a likelihood of substantial harm or substantial distress to yourself, and you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time. Please see our privacy policy for full contact details.
