You are being invited to contribute your answered prayer(s) by Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer (a UK registered Charity 1173708) which aims to ignite faith and belief in the power of prayer by building a national landmark and visitor centre in the UK and creating a Global Digital Archive (the Archive) with one million accounts of answered prayers.
The creation of the Archive will enable us to preserve and make publicly accessible the answered prayers contributed by Christians around the globe.
Before you decide to contribute, it is important for you to understand why we are asking for your answered prayers and what will happen to them.
Please take time to read the following information carefully and discuss it with others if there is anything you are unsure of. Please ask us if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information.
Who is creating the Digital Archive?
The Digital Archive is being created by Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer (“Eternal Wall”, “Us”, “Our”, “We”), a charity registered with the UK Charity Commission, number 1173708, based at Courtyard 4, Coleshill Manor Office Campus, South Drive, Coleshill, B46 1DL.
What is the purpose of the Digital Archive?
The creation of the Global Digital Archive will enable us to preserve and make publicly accessible the answered prayers contributed by Christians around the globe.
Your contribution
Your answered prayer(s) will be an important contribution to the archive.
If you agree to submit an answered prayer it will be preserved as a permanent resource for use in research, publications, education, lectures, broadcasting and the internet.
What happens to the data collected?
A key part of the project is the creation of the Archive that will preserve and make publicly accessible the answered prayers contributed by individuals like yourself.
With your agreement, your answered prayers will become part of the Archive where they will be preserved as a permanent resource for use in research, publications, education, lectures, broadcasting, and be available on the internet.
Your Privacy
Will my name be shown with my answered prayer?
No. The publicly available archive will ONLY contain the content of your answered prayer, NEVER who contributed it.
However, if you submit a video answered prayer in which you are visible, you are agreeing to this being permanently preserved in a public archive. Before submitting your video, consider that it is likely you will be identifiable from your image in our permanent archive.
Please consider the privacy of others who may be in your video or images. You should not submit their images without first ensuring you have their consent.
Some of you may have images relating to your answered prayers. You can upload these digital files on the website. We will never use your images without your explicit consent. We will always seek your consent to publish these on social media and other publicly accessible sites.
Will Eternal Wall know who contributed the answered prayers?
Yes. We retain a link between the answered prayers and the information we gain at the time of your submission. This ‘link’, also called a ‘pseudonym’, is a special code only a limited number of authorised people at Eternal Wall can use to reveal the identity of the contributor.
Your legal protection
Your contribution is sensitive personal information protected by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and Data Protection Act 2018.
Our lawful reason for asking you to contribute your answered prayers is “public interest task” and “for research and academic purposes”. What happens if I change my mind?
It is up to you to decide whether to take part. If you do decide to take part, you will be asked to indicate your agreement as part of submitting your answered prayer(s).
Once your contribution has been accepted and entered into the answered prayers archive, your Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR rights will be limited by the extent that the application of those rights would prevent or seriously impair the achievement of the answered prayer archive purpose(s).
In ALL cases, where we consider that the limitation of your rights is likely to cause substantial damage or substantial distress, any limitation will be removed. We recognise and will remain vigilant to the protection of children who merit specific protection of their privacy rights.
Intellectual property
To help prevent any inappropriate reuse or manipulation, answered prayers will be made publicly available through the Creative Commons licence, ‘Attribution, Non-Commercial, No Derivatives’ (referred to as CC BY-NC-ND).
What if I disclose any information about harm to myself or others?
If any disclosure about harm to yourself or others is made in a contribution, the moderator will have a duty to raise the issue with the appropriate stakeholder and discuss whether the disclosure requires a formal concern to be raised with the appropriate authority or safeguarding professional.
Who can I contact if I have any questions?
If you have any questions or concerns you should contact a member of the Charity by emailing enquiries@eternalwall.org.uk.
