“The God who overrides technological blockades”
I was travelling to the USA on the first day transatlantic flights reopened post-COVID and had booked my flight through a third party. I arrived with plenty of time to be surprised I couldn’t check in which transpired to be because I’d accidentally put my first and last names in the wrong boxes. A helpful airline assistant went to switch them over to return very apologetic that because I’d used a third party the airline didn’t own the ticket so it was impossible for them to make the switch. I’d have to call the company. After 45mins or so on hold the company said they’d be in touch within two hours – not much help when I should’ve taken off in about an hour. I kept asking God to do a miracle and sort something so I could fly but with an hour to go my only attempt was to try to buy my own ticket again direct with them which the airline seemed prepared to try to do… I had a strange serenity that something big was going to happen but was still stunned when an airline personnel after several minutes of silence was stunned herself that she’d been able to correct the name reversal and check me in. She hoped she wouldn’t get in trouble which I tried to reassure her I’m sure she wouldn’t having been God’s hand in getting me on board! I didn’t have to pay a penny and was duly rushed through bag drop and departures to board my flight just in time!
