“I can’t describe what happened next only a feeling of slow motion and fuzziness…”
This one is so hard to believe but it happened. I was with my daughter who was 9 at the time and we were going to pick my husband up from where he worked in a factory on an industrial estate. We were driving along the road and there was a truck on the opposite side coming toward us when suddenly another truck came from behind it onto our side of the road! It was traveling quite fast and now we had two trucks coming toward us with a ditch on one side and nowhere to go. Now I didn’t have time to pray but simply said “Oh God” I can’t describe what happened next only a feeling of slow motion and fuzziness. Seriously! In a second we were still on the road with the truck on the opposite side just going past us and the truck that was in our lane was now still on our lane but heading away from us in my rear view mirror. My daughter said “What happened Mum” I replied “ I don’t know Baby” We both remember it to this day and still don’t know what happened and often wonder what those other drivers thought. All I can say is, Thanks and Praise be to God!
