“Going forward for prayer continued for over ten years before I received my healing…”
In 2010 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I had been quite active, cycling to work, looking after our huge garden and going to the gym up to 3 times a week. My job was quite physical too, as maintenance man at a residential unit.
I had begun to experience new symptoms , restless legs, tennis and golf elbow and RSI.
Physical activities including my job were becoming harder and tiring. I went from being fit and active to having limited energy, aches pain and fatigue beyond description.
It’s widely understood no one recovers from Fibromyalgia (unfixable). My doctor said few recover, I made up my mind on hearing that, that I would be one of the few.
I took every opportunity to be prayed with including being anointed with oil by our Elders on a number of occasions. Asking for prayer and going forward for prayer continued for over ten years before I received my healing.
During 2020 & 21 church was Facebook or Youtube, groups and meetings were over Zoom and at the end of a study following our time of closing prayer we were asked if we had received anything during the time which I think was just a few minutes.
I received a vision, in fact it was a though I was elsewhere. I was being carried in the arms of Jesus for what seemed a much longer period of time than the few minutes of prayer. As Jesus walked with me comfortably in his arms I was aware of nothing else but him. I sensed his strength and an almost overwhelming sense of peace.
After some time we arrived by an armchair, as he lowered me into it I discovered it to be the most comfortable armchair I had ever sat in, supporting every part of my body perfectly. The painful sensitive points around my body that are a symptom of Fibromyalgia I could feel no longer.
As Jesus lowered me into the chair I felt a weight in my lap and looked down to see a pair of heavy old fashioned handcuffs held together by a heavy chain., I held them up and asked, “what should I do with these?” Jesus looked at me and smiled and said, ” I will take them from you, they are no longer yours”. The handcuffs were the Fibromyalgia, Jesus took it from me, at that moment I received my healing.
That was May 2021 and a few days later my wife and I went for a walk around a local woodland. I was able to walk a whole mile in just one hour, the furthest I had walked for more than ten years. Over the following weeks and months I gradually built up to longer distances with no payback, no chronic fatigue and no symptoms of Fibromyalgia.
The walking stick, rise and recline chair, blue badge, PIP, wheelchair adapted car, powerchair and the CPAP machine for Sleep Apnoea are gone along with all the meds including the pain relief.
