“He is the God of abundance and a Good Father who absolutely provides!”
I had a year of struggling a lot with my finances, I was working hard but my health made it difficult to work enough to pay my bills. I reached a point where I was short of a few hundred pounds to survive the month. I was laying in bed one night, anxious about my financial situation and prayed the simplest prayer to Jesus. “Jesus, I need your help, please provide for me.”
I woke up the next morning to a text from a friend who I hadn’t seen in a very long time, asking how my financial situation was and if he could help. I couldn’t believe it. I told him the ins and outs and was vulnerable and transparent. Within the next few days, he sent me over £2000 to not only help with my expenses, but to help with a medical diagnosis and also extra to make sure I could enjoy some things with friends too. Later on in the day after he had text me, a person I didn’t know well from church took me aside and asked to pray for me. When he finished praying, he said he had some money set aside that God had asked him to give away, and he knew that it was meant for me. We have been talking about my dreams for the year ahead and that money can make some of those a reality.
God isn’t just a God of enough, He is the God of abundance and a Good Father who absolutely provides!
