“I started looking and very quickly found a job I knew was mine…”

I had been in my previous job for 15 years, working my way up to a senior position.
Just before the pandemic a new manager started and the atmosphere at work slowly changed. My new manager was very paranoid and would accuse me of doing things I had not done, including undermining them. Things came to a head when in a team meeting they lied about me to all of my team.
I was so angry I had to walk out of the meeting. For the first time ever I needed to take some time off due to stress.
At the same time I felt God prompting me that it was time to look for a new job. I knew I could side step to the same job at a different company but wanted a new career so I started looking and very quickly found a job I knew was mine. In fact I was so certain I called my Mum and told her I had found my new job.
Very weirdly the salary was not on the job description but I thought nothing of it.
With hope I applied for the job, however, the new company called me and told me that they had needed to put a hold on recruitment. I was absolutely crushed – I remember receiving the call and then driving to watch my son play football whilst crying in the stands.
Yet at the same time the conviction and belief that the job was the job God had provided for me did not change.
Fast forward 6 months and recruitment was opened again, I had an interview and then a second interview and was offered the job.
Since leaving my old job life at home has become harder,  my new job fits perfectly with the new routine and diverse needs of those in my household.
When in the interview for my new job I asked about the salary, commenting that it was not on the advert.
The new company said that they had placed the salary on the advert, yet when I looked it was not there – I very much believe God hid the salary for me as if had I seen it I would not have applied for the job as we would not have enough money to pay our bills.
Yet here we are 6 months down the line, things are tighter but by God’s grace we are still afloat.
Due to the increasing diverse needs in our house without this new role I would not have been able to continue working at all, I am so thankful for his provision.
