“My father was at Dunkirk…”

My father was at Dunkirk, and was the last man to leave the beach, because one of his tasks was to ensure that any who died were buried properly. The Germans were getting closer and the small boats had to move away. My father said that he was in the water swimming for 13 hours before he reached a boat. If he had not got away, I would not be here today. Some years ago a great aunt of mine gave me the book, “Rees Howells intercessor”. In the book it described how he wrestled in prayer for all the soldiers at Dunkirk, and I believe the Lord said to me that my father would not have survived but for the prayers of Rees Howells.
