“She called me and told me with a strong and firm voice, that her voice was back”
Following a surgery on her thyroid glands some years back, my mother, age 80, lost her voice. To speak, she had to whisper. She has always been a very vocal person, speaking on the phone to her numerous friends and having them over for a chat. In a way she is the counsellor/advisor of the extended family. Losing the power of her vocal cords was a tremendous blow to her quality of life. This went on for several weeks. The doctor explained that during the surgery, they had accidentally cut through a nerve leading to the vocal cords and thus, she might never get her voice back.
I prayed for my mother. I laid hands on her throat and asked Jesus to heal her and revive the vocal cords. The following day she called me and told me with a strong and firm voice, that her voice was back. It was truly amazing and we both agreed it was yet another prayer answer. What was even more fascinating was the fact that the day I prayed for her was Good Friday of 2016.
